According to journalist Luca Cerchione, Liverpool and Manchester United are keen on signing Kim Min-Jae at the end of the season, with it added that clubs without Champions League football next season could sign the player for a fee of just €40m.

Kim Min-jae has only been with Napoli since the summer of 2022 but he is already one of the best centre-backs in the Serie A.

The 6ft 2 stopper has featured in all but one of Napoli’s 29 Serie A games so far this season.

In that time the current league leaders have shipped just 21 goals, which is one of the best records in the division.

His excellent form has seen him linked with Manchester United a fair bit over the course of the current campaign.

However, if the report above is true and clubs without Champions League football can get Kim for a fairly low fee, this could be a big blow for United.

Liverpool, meanwhile, are 8th in the PL and their hopes of a top-four finish are all but gone this term.
