Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti was, on Monday, drawn on the latest on the club’s ongoing pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe.
Links between French international Mbappe and La Liga heavyweights Real have of course been rampant for some time now.
This comes after the transfer team at the Bernabeu were left shocked in coming up short in a big-money bid to lure the explosive attacker to the Spanish capital last summer, despite Mbappe’s contract in Paris inching towards an imminent conclusion.

It therefore no doubt came as a major source of concern to all associated with Real when further reports surrounding the situation over recent weeks pointed towards Mbappe penning fresh terms with PSG.
The Italian, however, was unsurprisingly keen to keep his cards close to his chest, simply insisting that Real Madrid’s future is in safe hands.
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti when asked about Kylian Mbappé deal: “The future of this club, thanks to Florentino Pérez, is at top level. And it will also be in the coming years, regardless of the players that may come”, he told Radio Rai. ⚪️ #RealMadrid

Marseille downed
Mbappe’s name returning to the fore in the media of course comes fresh off the back of the Frenchman making the difference on the pitch once more just 24 hours ago.
After welcoming Olympique Marseille to the Parc des Princes for the latest edition of Le Classique, PSG eventually emerged on the right side of a 2-1 result.
This came owing to strikes on the part of Neymar and that man Mbappe, who slotted home his sixth goal in his last three outings to guide PSG to within a solitary win of the Ligue 1 title.
