The player in question is Napoli and Nigeria striker, Victor Osimhen.

The Nigerian has been instrumental in Napoli lifting their first Serie A title since 1990.

Osimhen was the top scorer in the division having netted 26 goals and assisted four this past season.

Such fine form has caught the eye of a number of clubs, including Manchester United and Chelsea.

Both sides are in desperate need of a no.9 this summer, with Osimhen a great fit for the pair.

However, French champions Paris Saint Germain have seemingly moved ahead of the pair in the race for Osimhen in the last month or so, with neither English outfit really linked with the hitman.

According to Sport Mediaset, Napoli president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, has suggested that an offer of around €200m/ £170m might be enough to tempt him to part with the striker, with a nod to PSG being the only club that could realistically afford the player.

Given Manchester United have a limited budget this summer, there is no way they could spend that much on one player – even with player sales.
