Japanese international starlet Zion Suzuki is prepared to forego a move to Premier League giants Manchester United in favor of a tiered approach to his personal development as a move to Belgian outfit Sint-Truidense edges closer.
In an earlier report from Samuel Luckhurst relayed by Fabrizio Romano, Suzuku “did not formally reject Man United” and viewed the potential pathway offered by the Red Devils as viable, but reports now link him to a likely move to eastern Belgium under former German international and current Sint-Truidense manager Torsten Fink.

The Red Devils were keen to bring in the 20-year-old Urawa Red Diamonds youngster as a long-term option in goal at Old Trafford behind André Onana, but the Japanese shot-stopper prefers a pathway trodden by a cadre of compatriots, including Arsenal star Takehiro Tomiyasu.
Currently, De Kanaries have seven Japanese players on their books at Stayen, five of whom have also been capped at the full international level, including former Leicester City striker Shinji Okazaki, and veteran shot-stopper Daniel Schmidt.
With Schmidt already on the wrong side of 30, and the club already having a cadre of international colleagues on the books in order to help his transition to life in Europe, this is unquestionably a measured approach to his own development on and off the pitch.
