The player being targeted by Manchester United is Japanese goalkeeper, Zion Suzuki.
According to Marco Molla, the 20-year-old goalkeeper has already agreed personal terms with the Premier League club and he is ready to complete the move. However, the Red Devils are yet to submit an official proposal to his club.
However, they are planning to come forward with an offer in the next few days and it remains to be seen whether the two clubs can reach an agreement.
Manchester United lost David de Gea on a free this month but Inter Milan shot-stopper Andrea Onana is expected to come in and replace the Spaniard.
The Red Devils seemingly want to add a second goalkeeper as cover for Onana, however.
Suzuki was born in the USA but he is a Japanese citizen and has featured at a number of levels for the Japanese national team and made his senior debut back in July of 2022.
