The man in question is Rasmus Hojlund.

Hojlund joined Atalanta from Austrian side Sturm Graz last summer.

He has impressed during his spell in Serie A, scoring eight goals in 30 league appearances and seven goals in various cup competitions.

All of Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal have been credited with an interest in the Dane.

But it is seemingly Manchester United who have the most interest in the striker.

Reports on Monday claimed that Manchester United had already seen an initial £31m bid knocked back by the Atalanta for Hojlund and were preparing to make a second £40m bid for the Danish forward.

Whilst £50m for a promising striker is not a ridiculous fee in the grand scheme of things, it does seem like an unwise move from Man United.

The Red Devils are thought to have a limited transfer budget this summer due to FPP and after already signing Mason Mount and showing a strong interest in Andre Onana, it seems unlikely Man United will be able to add a second striker on top of Hojlund.

This would leave them with Anthony Martial, and a player who scored just seven league goals last season, as their main attacking threat.
