A report from SportBILD claims that Manchester United are very interested in signing Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong at the end of the season and he could cost around €50m.

The report adds that talks have been ongoing between the two parties for weeks and it will be interesting to see how the situation develops.

The Manchester City academy graduate joined Leverkusen in 2021 from Celtic.

He has since made 83 appearances for the German outfit and is currently in the midst of an excellent campaign.

Frimpong has scored eight goals and assisted nine in 36 ties across all competitions so far this term, all whilst operating as a right-back/right-wing-back.

Should Frimpong make the switch to Manchester United, Aaron Wan-Bissaka would likely depart.

Wan-Bissaka was linked with a move away from Man United in January, but an upturn in form led to United keeping him at the club for the remainder of the season.
