The 11th gameweek of the 2022/23 Championship season drew to a close on Saturday evening with Middlesbrough and Rotherham going head-to-head.

Before that, though, there was plenty of action across the league. Here is everything you need to know about gameweek 11 of this season’s Championship.

Championship round-up: Gameweek 11

The weekend’s action began at 12:30 on Saturday as Swansea played host to Hull. Neither outfit was in good form ahead of the game, but it was the Welsh side who came away with the win.

Ryan Manning opened the scoring after 61 minutes for Swansea, before the home side added another two goals to come away with a comfortable 3-0 win and put some distance between themselves and the relegation zone.

There were then 10 teams in action at 3 pm, including the top two. Sheffield United maintained their spot atop of the Championship by beating a struggling Preston side 2-0. The Blades have now scored the most goals and have the second-best defence in the division behind only Preston.

Norwich, on the other hand, were not so lucky, and were forced to settle for a point vs West Brom. This result means the Canaries are three points off top spot with a much worse goal difference.

The weekend’s action was then rounded out by Middlesbrough vs Rotherham at 7:45. Boro have had a tough time keeping clean sheets this season, shipping 15 in nine before Saturday.

And whilst Chris Wilder’s side did manage to keep a shut-out vs Rotherham, they lacked creativity and were forced to settle for a point – a result that leaves them in the relegation zone.
