The gameweek began on Saturday afternoon with Luton vs QPR and Rotherham vs Huddersfield both taking place at 12:30.

Luton’s recent form has moved them to within touching distance of the play-offs. And after beating QPR 3-1 on Saturday, they are now just one point off sixth.

Rotherham then picked up their first win in five in the other 12:30 match, beating relegation-threatened Huddersfield 2-1.

There were then nine more games on Saturday with some surprising results.

Sheffield United and Norwich looked set to be the main two sides competing for automatic promotion this term. However, the Blades drew with Blackpool and Norwich lost to Watford in GW15.

Sheffield United are now winless in four and Norwich have won just one in five.

Elsewhere, Reading are in danger of slipping out of the top six following a 2-0 loss to West Brom.

At the other end of the table, meanwhile, Hull lost to Birmingham, but did not drop into the relegation zone as fellow strugglers Middlesbrough lost 2-1 to Blackburn.

24th-place Coventry did pick up their second win in five, though, beating Cardiff 1-0.
