Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing the Mexican striker, Santiago Gimenez.
According to WDeportes, Manchester United have scouted the striker multiple times and they have been in touch with the player’s representatives
In terms of a fee, the striker has a release clause in his contract of around €20m, which is a sum Manchester United certainly have the resources to pay.
Gimenez is currently plying his trade in the Eredivisie with Feyenoord, whom he joined this past summer from CD Cruz Azul.
The 21-year-old has enjoyed a sensational season so far, netting 23 and assisting four in 42 outings across all competitions.
And whilst United fans may be concerned about his ability to perform at a top level, Gimenez has scored five in seven Europa League games this season.
Manchester United’s current striking duo are Wout Weghorst and Anthony Martial. The latter is very injury-prone, whilst Weghorst has struggled for goals back in England and his loan deal is up in the summer anyway, when he will return to parent club and newly promoted, Burnley.
