The former Chelsea striker and manager was re-diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2021 and passed away in London on Friday.

Vialli enjoyed a solid career with Cremonese, Sampdoria and Juventus before moving to Chelsea in 1996.

He went on to win the FA Cup in 1997, was named player-manager in 1998 and went on to lead Chelsea to victory in the League Cup, European Cup Winners’ Cup and UEFA Super Cup that year.

In total, he made 88 appearances for Chelsea and won 59 caps for Italy.

Vialli also guided Chelsea to FA Cup success in 2000 before he was sacked early in the following season following a poor start.

During his time in Italy, Vialli won a number of major accolades with Juventus, including the Serie A and Champions League.
