Chelsea have been without a decent striker for several seasons now.

The west Londoners resigned Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan in the summer of 2021 but his first campaign back in England did not go to plan.

This saw the Belgian shipped out on loan back to the Serie A for the 2022/23 season.

As a result, Chelsea were left to play Kai Havertz in the false-nine role for much of the campaign.

Joao Felix was brought in on loan from Atletico Madrid in January, but he too was unable to provide much of a goal threat.

Now, with Mauricio Pochettino at the helm, Chelsea have identified a new striker target for the 2022/23 season.

“I was told a week ago Pochettino wants him, considering him the ideal striker for his tactical idea, however, the Blues have to pay attention to the competition,” he said.

“Bayern Munich in fact are increasing the pressure on Dusan, targeted as their priority to strengthen the attack. Anyway, in general, Dusan would like to leave Juventus after this last difficult season, and that’s why an original agreement on personal terms we deem shouldn’t be so difficult.”
