Chelsea have been handed another injury blow just two weeks into the season as Mykhaylo Mudryk is expected to miss the game against Luton Town through injury, the club have confirmed.
The Blues, who have just one point from their opening two Premier League games under new boss Mauricio Pochettino, have one of the worst injury records in the Premier League and that list is only lengthening.
First team stars Reece James, Benoit Badiashile, Trevoh Chalobah (all hamstring), Wesley Fofana, Christopher Nkunku, Carney Chukwuemeka, Armando Broja (all knee) and third choice goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli are all already sidelined through injury, with Fofana expected to miss much of the season and Nkunku, Chukwuemeka and James all set for at least a month without action.

Now, Ukrainian winger Mudryk has joined that list, with the 22-year-old’s stuttering start to life in west London set to continue with his latest setback.
An official statement claimed that Mudryk is now ‘starting rehabilitation having undergone assessments on an injury sustained in training this week’, and therefore has been ruled out of the clash with the Hatters on Friday night.
Mudryk has flattered to deceive in his short Stamford Bridge career so far, arriving in January for a massive fee yet only registering two assists in 19 appearances for the Blues, the same number as the yellow cards he has managed to pick up.
As it stands, the nature of his injury is unclear, but with the attacker only starting rehabilitation, he could be sidelined for some time.
