Arsenal lost out on Mykhailo Mudryk to Chelsea last week.

The Gunners had been heavily linked with the winger and looked set to sign him before the close of the January transfer window.

However, Chelsea came in with a higher transfer offer and a much bigger contract for the Ukraine star.

Arsenal were then unwilling to match the Blues as it would have interfered with their transfer budget and wage structure.

Now though, the Gunners are left needing some fresh legs in their forward line if they are to keep up their title charge in the second half of the campaign.

This saw them turn to Bayer Leverkusen winger, Moussa Diaby.

Newcastle United have made a fresh enquiry for the Bayer Leverkusen star following the news that Arsenal have become interested in the French winger.

The Magpies have asked the Bundesliga outfit to keep them informed about the 23-year-old’s situation as they are long-term admirers of the Leverkusen star.

A fee of around €100m has been touted in recent days.
