The Arsenal project is truly beginning to take shape after several years of Mikel Arteta at the helm.
The Spaniard and Edu have built a promising young squad with some experienced stars littered in.
And in the 2022/23 campaign, we are seeing Arsenal’s squad finally come of age.
The Gunners have so far finished 8th, 8th and 5th whilst under Mikel Arteta. But their start to the 2022/23 season suggests Champions League football will be returning to the Emirates sooner rather than later.
The north Londoners are currently top of the Premier League after 10 games with a four-point lead over Manchester City.
Two of Arsenal’s standout stars this season have been William Saliba and Bukayo Saka.
As for Saka, he has already scored four and provided four assists in 10 league outings this term.
Now, Fabrizio Romano has provided a future update on said duo:
“Arsenal are optimistic about the contract situation of both William Saliba and Bukayo Saka. Saka and Saliba have become two key players for Arsenal, particularly this season,” said Romano.
“I’m told there’s nothing concrete with any other clubs as of now,” he added.
