Pep Guardiola has always preferred to have a fairly small squad despite often challenging in three or four competitions at once.
However, with Man City’s squad already likely as small as Pep would want, losing two key players before the summer window shuts would be a big blow.
The players in question are Kyle Walker and Bernardo Silva. The latter has been linked with Barcelona for many years, but it is PSG who are currently showing an interest in the Portuguese.
As for Kyle Walker, despite being a regular feature for Man City early in the season, he has interest from German giants, Bayern Munich.
However, Pep Guardiola is hopeful the two players will sign new contracts at Manchester City.
When quizzed on reports suggesting that positive discussions have been held with Silva, the Spanish coach said: “It will be my dream, like Kyle Walker. Hopefully it happens. From the deep of my heart, from the bottom of my heart, I wish [it happens].”
