Any and all suitors of AC Milan star Rafael Leao have, on Thursday, been dealt a hammer blow.
This comes amid widespread confirmation that the explosive attacker has committed his future to Milan, by way of a new long-term contract.
The subject of Leao’s situation at San Siro has, of course, long taken its place front and centre in the media headlines.
This comes with the reigning Serie A Player of the Year having for some time now knocked back the efforts of the powers that be in Lombardy to tie him down to fresh terms.
Such a stance on Leao’s part, in turn, gave rise to inevitable outside interest, with the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Real Madrid having all been named as keen on the gifted winger’s services over the course of the season to date.

As alluded to above, though, late on Thursday, such clubs have seen their chances of landing Leao dealt what could well prove to be a decisive blow.
‘Rafael Leão has now signed new long term deal with AC Milan until June 2028, confirmed.’
Taking a look at the details of the contract, it is understood that Leao will earn €5m-net-per-season at San Siro moving forward.
Even more significant, though, is the Portuguese’s new release clause, coming in at an eye-watering €175 million.
