French giants Paris Saint-Germain have, on Sunday, at long last agreed to the terms of the sale of a headline member of the club’s midfield setup.
The player in question? Marco Verratti.
The name of Italian international Verratti has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines in Paris for some time now.
This comes after word was forthcoming that the 30-year-old had set his sights on the Parc des Princes exit door, amid mounting interest in his services from the Middle East.
After themselves bringing in Manuel Ugarte in a big-money deal from Sporting CP, the powers that be at PSG, in turn, opened the door to a sale.
A number of clubs from Qatar and Saudi Arabia were as a result tipped as potential landing spots over the course of the summer.

This came as the PSG hierarchy stood firm in their considerable demands for a player once viewed as one of world football’s finest in his role.
As alluded to above, though, late on Sunday evening, at long last, a deal for Verratti to move on has been struck.
As per a report from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano:
‘Marco Verratti to Al Arabi, here we go! Verbal agreement finally sealed with the Italian midfielder who’s set to sign on a permanent deal with Qatari club.’
The former Pescara talent is now expected to fly out to Doha over the coming 24 hours, to complete a transfer with a fee in the region of €45 million.
