Chelsea are ready to cash in on young talent Lewis Hall amid interest from Newcastle United, but will demand £30m for his signature this summer.
Hall, who made his debut for the club last season, has fallen down the pecking order under Mauricio Pochettino following the return of Ian Maatsen, and a midfielder by trade has seen Moises Caicedo headline three fresh faces in his favoured position too.
The teenager only agreed a new contract this summer, which is due to keep him at the club until 2030, and he was expected to leave on loan amid interest from Crystal Palace.
Now, however, he could leave permanently.
As per the Telegraph, Chelsea’s spending has ‘brought pressure to generate sales’, and Hall is one of those that could face the chop given his status as a homegrown talent.

The report adds that the Blues ‘are asking for around £30 million’ and that Newcastle United could be his final destination this summer.
However, he added that his side ‘may have to be creative’ to avoid overspending.
They have been linked with Chelsea teammate Marc Cucurella as well as Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney, but they are keen to agree a loan deal for financial fair play purposes with an option to buy potentially included in the move.
Both players are thought to be free to leave their respective clubs after falling down the pecking order in London, with Tierney having long been linked with a move to St James’ Park.
Chelsea meanwhile are ‘also likely to listen to offers for Conor Gallagher and Trevoh Chalobah’, and will hope to raise upwards of £80m for the pair.
