Interim Chelsea head coach Frank Lampard has, on Thursday evening, overseen club history.

This comes as the Blues, of course, line out for their penultimate fixture of what has proven an altogether underwhelming campaign.

Sitting in a lowly 12th in the Premier League table, Chelsea have made the trip to Old Trafford, for a meeting with Manchester United.

And, with little more than pride to play for, boss Lampard has opted to shake things up.

A number of key members of the visitors’ squad have been dropped to the bench, including Thiago Silva and Joao Felix.

Taking their respective spots in the starting XI in Manchester, on the other hand, are all of Lewis Hall, Trevoh Chalobah, Conor Gallagher, Mykhailo Mudryk and youngster Carney Chukwuemeka.

As revealed by statisticians Opta, at 23 years and 238 days, tonight’s marks the youngest starting line-up ever fielded by the capital giants in a fixture in the Premier League.
