Chelsea star Trevoh Chalobah has taken to social media on Thursday evening, to reveal his disappointment with news of teammate Mason Mount’s incoming move to Manchester United.

For those who may have missed it, confirmation of midfielder Mount’s imminent Old Trafford switch was finally forthcoming a short time ago.

On the back of weeks of back-and-forth negotiations between the respective boards at United and Chelsea, a compromise was reached on a figure of £55 million, plus bonuses.

Mount’s exit, when it is finally made official, will of course bring to an end a long-term partnership between the England international, and Chelsea.

In fact, for all but six years of his life, Mount has been on the books in west London, in some capacity or another.

Safe to say, then, that his departure will no doubt hit hard for a whole host of individuals at Stamford Bridge.

Taking to social media a short time ago, Trevoh Chalobah, himself a product of the Cobham academy setup, unveiled his short and sweet reaction to Mount’s upcoming transfer:

‘My boy’, he tweeted, accompanied by two emojis, one of a crying face, and another of a broken heart.
