Arsenal have been working on the signing of a midfielder during the last week of the transfer window.
The Gunners submitted two offers for Brighton’s Moisés Caicedo, but have now turned their attention to Joringho.
Mikel Arteta is keen to secure cover for his midfield in case one of Granit Xhaka or Thomas Partey pick up an injury.
Losing Partey last season to an injury proved costly for the north Londoners and they want to avoid the same happening again.

Meanwhile, Miguel Delaney reports that the 31-year-old will cost £13 million.
For both clubs, this could represent good business with Chelsea set to receive a decent sum of money for a player out of favour.
Whilst for the Gunners, they get much-needed cover in midfield and an experienced player for a relatively cheap fee.
