Chelsea transfer target Paulo Dybala has denied any suggestions of a move to Stamford Bridge this summer, insisting that he is happy with Roma after arriving at the club 12 months ago.
The Blues have been in the market for attacking reinforcements this summer, and have been linked with a whole host of names including Victor Osimhen, Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo-Muani and Serbia star Dusan Vlahovic.
They were also tipped to make a stunning move for Roma attacker Dybala, who is thought to have a £10m release clause in his contract at Roma, and would be a low-cost high-quality attacking option for the Blues provided he could stay fit.
However, the Argentinian has come out to cut short any suggestions that he will be leaving Italy’s capital this summer, insisting that he is happy working with Jose Mourinho at Roma.
“I’m happy to be at Roma, of course”, he told La Roma 24. Am I staying here? Yes we are starting training tomorrow”, he added.
It means that the Blues will have to look elsewhere for attacking reinforcements, though they have already confirmed the `arrival of Christopher Nkunku from RB Leipzig in a deal worth around £65m.
Meanwhile, further focus is on midfield, where Moises Caicedo remains their top target despite Brighton’s extortionate asking price, and they also hold an interest in Celta Vigo’s Gabri Veiga.
