Christopher Nkunku was announced as a Chelsea player on June 20 after completing a £53m move from RB Leipzig.
Nkunku heads to Chelsea on the back of several superb seasons in the Bundesliga.
2022/23 saw the Frenchman score 23 goals and provide nine assists in all competitions for RB Leipzig.
And after Chelsea’s horrific showing in front of goal last term, they will be desperate for Nkunku to continue that form into the forthcoming campaign.
Now, ahead of the new season getting underway, Chelsea’s first summer signing has been discussing Mauricio Pochettino.
“I have not had a chance to speak to him, not yet,” he told Chelsea’s official website.
On the Chelsea project, Nkunku added: “I think the project was good for me.”
“It is a good project for me to develop myself as a player and a man also. And this is a good city, after all, and for sure I want to improve in football and I want to win trophies and improve myself also.
“So I think this is a good project for me at this moment. This is a good project, for sure.”
