Manuel Ugarte is one of the names which could dominate the midfield transfer market this summer.
The 22-year-old has been very impressive for Sporting CP this season and has plenty of interest.
Two of those clubs include Premier League giants Liverpool and Tottenham…
But this morning it has been from Portugal that Spurs could have a big advantage over the Reds in the race for the midfielder’s signature.

Sporting CP want to lower Tottenham’s sell-on percentage for Marcus Edwards which could see Manuel Ugarte enter the negotiation, according to O Jogo.
The Portugese club are hoping to reduce the percentage from 35% to 20%.
Sporting now want to take another 15% from them and could offer them Ugarte as part of a deal.
The north London club are interested in the Uruguayan and have been closely watching him.
They are not the only club keen to take the midfielder though, with Liverpool also attentive to the situation.
However, Spurs’ part ownership of Edwards and Sporting’s desire to own more of him could significantly help them sign Ugarte.
