Since the arrival of Erik ten Hag at Manchester United, the majority of Cristiano Ronaldo’s time has been spent sitting on the bench.
The Portuguese forward has made just one start in the league so far and he has just a single goal to his name in all competitions.
Over the summer, he tried to engineer a move away from Old Trafford, however, no clubs seemed to show a genuine interest.
Now, during the January window, he is likely to try again to leave the club, but at this stage, the Red Devils are confident he will stay, as per ESPN.

Ronaldo set to stay in January
Manchester United believe Ronaldo will stay in January mostly due to a lack of interest from big clubs.
The Europa League club are braced for him to try again to force an exit during the winter window.
Erik ten Hag is understanding of Ronaldo’s situation but he does not want to let him leave with little funds available for him to find a replacement.
Therefore, Ronaldo looks set to remain with United until at least next summer.

It was a disappointing night for Ronaldo in Cyprus as he failed to find the back of the net against Omonia Nicosia.
The Red Devils fell behind to Cypriot outfit before Rashford and Martial came off the bench to turn the game on its head.
But ultimately, it was a frustrating game for Ronaldo, who was searching for his 700th career goal.
