Spanish giants Barcelona have, on Saturday, taken a major step towards sealing their first signing of the summer.
The player primed to take his talents to the Camp Nou? Vitor Roque.
For those not aware, links between Athletico Paranaense sensation Roque and Barca have long been in circulation in the media, with Blaugrana boss Xavi having not been at all shy in confirming his side’s interest.
This comes with the 18-year-old widely considered to be one of the standout young talents in all of South America, already drawing comparisons to Brazilian icon Ronaldo Nazario.
Negotiations over a potential transfer, in turn, are understood to have been kicked into gear between all of Barca, Athletico and Roque’s entourage over the last couple of days.
And, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then major progress appears to have been made, between two of the parties.
This comes with the frontman having made his desire for a move to Catalunya clear.

Further details surrounding Roque’s alleged Blaugrana contract, meanwhile, have too come to the fore.
The Brazilian international is understood to have agreed to terms through the summer of 2028, with his Camp Nou contract set to contain a big-money release clause.
