Manchester United faced off with Tottenham on Wednesday evening in a Premier League clash.
It was expected to be a tough test for the Red Devils, as Spurs were in the Champions League places with a solid defensive record.
However, Man United dominated the game and came away with a comfortable 2-0 win.
Manchester United are now up to 5th and just one point off fourth.
The talk after the match is not how United won, though, but instead about Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo watched from the bench on Wednesday evening as his United teammates defeated Antonio Conte’s side, thanks to goals by Fred and Bruno Fernandes. The Portugal international walked down the tunnel before the full-time whistle.
Now though, it is being reported by The Athletic that Ronaldo also left the stadium rather than heading to the dressing room after walking off in the 89th minute.
It is added that Ronaldo’s early exit didn’t make a ripple in the home dressing room at Old Trafford as United’s players celebrated the win over Tottenham.
