Al-Nassr star Cristiano Ronaldo is planning to take legal action against former club Juventus as he looks to recoup wages lost to COVID-19, it has been reported.
The Portuguese star, who spent three seasons in Turin, is thought to be owed a sum of around 18m euros from his time with the Old Lady.
When football was put on hold in March 2020, Ronaldo agreed to freeze his 31m euros per year salary too, as part of a teamwide initiative.

Now though, he wants it back.
As per Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, Ronaldo ‘wants to collect the money that he agreed not to take immediately during lockdown’, a sum which totals 19.9m euros (£18m).
To do this, CR7 ‘has decided to take legal action’ against the Italian club, who are still recovering from their own legal battles last season which saw them docked points and kicked out of European competition.
Three and a half years on, Ronaldo is now the highest-paid player in world football as things stand, netting a massive salary from Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr, for whom he has found the net six times in just four games this season, as well as grabbing four assists.
The move adds to a difficult week for Juve, who have already seen Paul Pogba provisionally suspended after testing positive for a banned substance, a breach which could carry a four year ban for the Frenchman.
