Like in 2021, one of the main stories of this summer has surrounded Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portuguese made his long-awaited return to Old Trafford last year after stints with Real Madrid and Juventus.

However, less than a year later, super-agent Jorge Mendes is already attempting to get his client a move.

This comes with Manchester United set for a season in the Europa League and Ronaldo, who is now 37, aiming to play Champions League football in the final years of his career.

But the issue CR7 is having is that no clubs with Champions League football are actually interested in him this summer.

PSG, Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Atletico Madrid have all been offered the veteran, but there has been little interest in a transfer from all four clubs.

A meeting between United and Jorge Mendes is believed to have led to the latter indicating he has been appeased by Richard Arnold’s willingness to listen, and will try to find a common ground.

However, United fans should not get their hopes up regarding a Ronaldo return anytime soon, as the DM claim it is unlikely Ronaldo would be available for United’s opening game of the season with Brighton on August 7th.

They go on to report that it is doubtful if the forward even makes a behind-closed-doors friendly vs Wrexham on Wednesday:
