An insight into the transfer plans of the powers that be at Premier League giants Liverpool has been provided on Friday evening.
The subject of potential reinforcements has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines on the red half of Merseyside ahead of the winter transfer window swinging open next month.
This comes amid what has proven an altogether underwhelming campaign for Jurgen Klopp’s troops to date.
As things stand, Liverpool sit 6th in the English top-flight, seven points adrift of the Champions League spots, and a further eight points off the pace of table-topping Arsenal.
Safe to say, then, that with a number of the club’s key performers continuing to disappoint on an alarmingly consistent basis, speculation that Klopp and co. have set their sights on additions across the park come the new year has come as little surprise.

Excitement, as a result, has long begun to spread across the Liverpool fanbase.
This comes with the reliable James Pearce, when drawn on the plans of the Anfield hierarchy, having provided the following update:
“I certainly don’t think it’ll be a busy January for Liverpool.”
