Crystal Palace Team News

  • Out: Wilfried Zaha
  • Doubt: Nathan Ferguson, Chris Richards

Though Crystal Palace are currently in mid-table with nine matches left in the 2022-23 Premier League season, the remainder of the campaign will be without Patrick Vieira after the former Arsenal midfielder and Gunners legend was relieved of his duties as the Eagles have failed to gain ground under his command. With his sacking came the return of veteran headmaster Roy Hodgson to steady the ship and avoid relegation, a task that Hodgson started strongly in his first match back at the helm with a win over Leicester City.

A clash with fellow relegation candidate Leeds United awaits at the weekend, who are just one point behind Palace while both sides are currently one or two poor results away from tumbling down the table. For Hodgson, his task to gain points on the road at Elland Road will have to come without the services of star man Wilfried Zaha, who sustained a groin injury last time out. Both Nathan Ferguson and Chris Richards remain doubts for selection but will have every chance to prove their availability, and should they pass late assessments, should feature from the bench but not be risked in the XI.
