101 covered a report from Spanish outlet Marca back in May, which claimed Barcelona will not be the only high-profile club pursuing Joshua Kimmich in the summer transfer window as the midfielder is also a target for Arsenal and Liverpool.
90min then followed up and claimed that Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United have all been contacted regarding a transfer for Kimmich, while in mainland Europe, conversations have been held with Barcelona, Real Madrid and PSG.
However, Kimmich then spoke out about these transfer rumours in June and seemed to dampen hope over a summer move. Kimmich told BILD: “It was difficult not to come across it [the rumours].
“Generally, I’m not too invested in the rumours. I still have, as everyone knows, two years left on my contract and we have big plans [for those two years] at Bayern.”
Now, however, Kicker journalist Georg Holzner reports that in addition to Leon Goretzka, Joshua Kimmich is no longer seen as untouchable and no longer unsellable, with it added that should a high offer for Kimmich arrive in Munich, the Bayern bosses would at least be willing to talk.
