Manchester United head into the game on the back of a League Cup triumph and a 3-1 FA Cup win over West Ham.
The Red Devils are also currently 3rd in the Premier League. United are 11 points off league leaders Arsenal but they do have a game in hand, so they are not completely out of the title race just yet.
As for Liverpool, they have had an awful season so far but their form has improved in recent weeks, winning three and drawing one of their last four.
As a result, a tough tie is expected at Anfield for Manchester United. And now, David de Gea has explained what his side must do to beat Liverpool.
Speaking ahead of the upcoming trip to Anfield, he looked back on the win earlier in the season and explained that United needed to stay in control and concede few chances if they wanted to win this weekend:
“Yeah, it was a great game. I think we played really, really well and controlled the game,” he told club media. “We didn’t concede many chances.
