The man in question is Jadon Sancho, who has had a dismal stint in England since signing for Manchester United from Borussia Dortmund in 2021.
Sancho has scored just 12 goals and provided six assists in 79 outings across all competitions for Manchester United.
In comparison, the winger netted 16 and assisted 20 in 38 games during his final season in Germany with BVB.
Such poor form has seen Sancho linked with a move away from Old Trafford. Both Tottenham and Aston Villa have been credited with an interest in the winger over the last few months, with a price tag of £45m floated.
That would see Manchester United lose a fair chunk of change on their investment, but as Sancho’s form is so poor and the Red Devils need cash to bring in more players, it may be a fee they have to accept.
Now, Ben Jacobs has spoken out on Sancho’s situation on Sunday.
“They’ve also got good other business done now, quite early in the window, including James Maddison.”
