Manchester United star David de Gea, on Saturday, secured for himself an impressive piece of individual silverware.
United, and De Gea, were of course back in action a short time ago.
Fresh off a concerning pair of back-to-back defeats, Erik ten Hag’s troops welcomed Woverhampton Wanderers to Old Trafford, eyeing a return to winning ways.
And, when all was said and done, this is precisely what United went on to do.
This came as goals on the part of Anthony Martial and the returning Alejandro Garnacho proved enough to guide the day’s hosts to the right side of a 2-0 scoreline.

As alluded to above, though, it was in fact the latest efforts on the part of the man at the other end of the pitch for United which proved altogether significant when it comes to individual achievements.
The Spaniard has now managed an impressive total of 16 shutouts across the Premier League campaign, three more than any other goalkeeper.
He has, as a result, secured at the very least a share of the English top-flight’s Golden Glove award.
Any of Alisson, Aaron Ramsdale or Nick Pope could technically still catch De Gea in the standings, but that would require one of the three to keep clean sheets in each of their final three fixtures, all whilst Man United’s no.1 concedes in both of his.
