West Ham United head coach David Moyes has provided updates on the wellbeing of two members of his squad to have sparked concern on Thursday night.

Moyes, of course, guided his side back into action a short time ago.

After putting Fulham to the sword in a Premier League London Derby this past weekend, the Hammers tonight turned their attentions back towards matters on the continent, in a Europa Conference League meeting with Belgian giants Anderlecht.

And, when all was said and done in the English capital, the evening’s hosts made it four wins on the bounce across all competitions.

This came as first-half goals on the part of Said Benrahma and Jarrod Bowen ensured that Sebastiano Esposito’s spot-kick at the other end proved little more than an Anderlecht consolation.

West Ham, in turn, have booked their spot in the knockout rounds with a full two games to spare.

The first came upon Angelo Ogbonna limping out of proceedings midway through the first-half. Then, remarkably, the Italian’s replacement, Craig Dawson, was too forced into a premature departure.

Speaking on the back of the full-time whistle on Thursday night, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of his two stoppers was put to David Moyes.

And West Ham’s boss went on to reveal that Ogbonna was suffering with a ‘tight hamstring’, whilst Dawson succumbed to a ‘dead leg’.
