Declan Rice signed for Arsenal last month in a British record deal of £100m plus £5m in add-ons.
Rice has since linked up with Arsenal for their pre-season tour of the US along with fellow signings Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber and is now preparing to take on Manchester City in the Community Shield.
Arsenal came up short vs the Sky Blues last season but are no doubt hopeful Rice will help them close the gap on Pep Guardiola’s side.
Ahead of the new season getting underway, Danny Murphy has revealed that Rice wants to change up his game by adding more goals and creativity:
“I’m excited to see how he develops at Arsenal, at a better team, with better players around him. It’s a fantastic platform to show the world what a wonderful talent he is,” Murphy told the Daily Mail.
“I’ve spoken to Rice and he’s excited for that too. He wants to be more creative, scoring goals, setting them up because he knows he’s capable of doing that too. He’s got so much quality.
“At Arsenal, this is not going to be the same Declan Rice.”
