A fresh update on the future of in-demand Brighton & Hove Albion star Moises Caicedo has been forthcoming late on Sunday.

This comes as the powers that be at Arsenal continue to pressure their Brighton counterparts into the sale of the club’s midfield gem.

After already sealing the signature of one Seagulls star this month, in the form of Leandro Trossard, it is now widely understood that Mikel Arteta and co. have identified Caicedo as the club’s leading target to bolster their ranks in the middle of the park.

To this point, the board at the Amex Stadium have stood their ground, adamant that the Ecuadorian international will be going nowhere before the month is out.

In turn, despite both a big-money Arsenal offer, and public Caicedo transfer plea, a deal, as of yet, has not come to fruition.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the media on Sunday night is anything to go by, then, evidently, Edu Gaspar and the transfer chiefs on the red half of north London have not yet given up hope of coaxing Brighton into a last-minute sale.

As per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, a proposal worth a total of £70 million, including bonuses, was tonight forthcoming for the 21-year-old, by way of the Emirates boardroom.

Swiftly following the news of Arsenal’s latest offer, however, has followed confirmation that, despite Caicedo’s wishes, the Gunners have once again been knocked back.

Not only that, but, in a blow to all of those still holding out hope of the gifted young midfielder landing in north London before the month is out, it has been added that Brighton showcased absolutely zero hesitance in rebuffing the latest proposal:
