Direct lines of communication have finally been laid down after negotiation parties from both Tottenham Hotspur and Bayern Munich sat down for in-person discussions regarding the ongoing summer transfer saga surrounding England star striker Harry Kane.
The all-time record goalscorer for Tottenham and England looks increasingly likely to leave Spurs this summer amid continued interest from Bayern as Thomas Tuchel has highlighted Kane as the ideal center-forward to build around in Bavaria.
Per reports from Sky Sports’ Paul Gilmour, as things stand, Spurs and Bayern remain at least £20m apart in valuation over the recently-turned 30-year-old record goalscorer. Additionally, the Premier League outfit will “insist” on a buy-back clause being included in any deal should Kane depart Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer but ultimately want to return to the top flight of English football in the future.

Talks are said to have continued into the later afternoon hours between both delegations with an agreement still yet to have been reached between all parties, but negotiations are said to still be in line to continue.
Spurs still remain adamant that they ideally want Kane to agree to fresh terms at the club and begin work in earnest under new boss Ange Postecoglou, but the fear of Kane heading off to a domestic rival next summer on a free transfer is as such that, when push comes to shove, a sale to Bayern is the ideal alternative pathway forward.
As for Bayern, the Bundesliga juggernaut remains dug-in surrounding their position that Kane has already verbally agreed to join the German outfit should terms be struck between both clubs.
