Micky van de Ven has already indicated a willingness to move to the Premier League as Tottenham reportedly join Liverpool in the race for the Wolfsburg defender.
Van de Ven, 22, joined Wolfsburg in the summer of 2021 for just €3.5m and remains under contract until 2027.
He had a slow start to life in Germany but managed to nail down a starting berth in 2022/23, featuring in 33 of Wolfsburg’s 34 league games this past season.
Fabrizio Romano reported on Saturday that the Dutch Under-21 international was the latest name on Spurs’ shortlist as they look to strengthen their defensive options under new manager Ange Postecoglou and that initial talks had already taken place.
And now, the player himself has spoken out on transfer interest:
“Of course I heard of Liverpool links and I know they’ve been following me in the past. That’s it. Of course, Liverpool is a great club”, he told VI.
