A piece of footage centering on Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has piqued widespread attentions online on Thursday.

This comes after the Spanish patron was pressed on the chances of Cristiano Ronaldo securing a sensational return to the Bernabeu.

The subject of Ronaldo’s future, of course, remains a headline talking point across the European media.

This comes with the Portuguese international, despite having long made clear his desire to depart Manchester United to the powers that be at the club, still, as things stand, a Red Devils player.

Questions, in turn, have begun to pick back up regarding where Ronaldo could land next, ahead of the summer transfer window slamming shut in just a few weeks’ time.

One such destination loosely tipped in the media comes in the form of the aforementioned Real Madrid.

A return to the Bernabeu, however, does not appear to be an option for the veteran hitman.

This comes after Florentino Perez all but ruled out a swoop on Real’s part, late on Thursday evening.

During an interaction with a member of the Blancos faithful, the club’s famed president was drawn on the prospect of CR7 landing back in Madrid with a view to the coming campaign.

Perez, however, swiftly poured cold water on such a suggestion, in responding:

“Sign Cristiano? Again? He’s 38 years old.”
