Howe has revealed that Isak should be available for a large part of Newcastle’s festive period.
The 23-year-old will miss the next two matches against Leicester and Leeds.
However, as his recovery heads in the right direction, the Newcastle boss expects him back very soon.
Callum Wilson has done a brilliant job deputising for him whilst he has been out.
Howe told the media: “He’s doing well. We’re pleased with him.
“Is he going to make the next couple of Premier League games? Probably not.
“He’s going in the right direction and we hope in the busy January period he can play a big part in that.”
