Match preview

Will Celtic make it three wins out of three to start their Scottish Premiership title defence?

On the opening weekend, the Hoops cruised to victory at home to Aberdeen, thanks to Stephen Welsh’s header and then Jota’s rocket.

Last weekend though, Ange Postecoglou’s side had to work significantly harder to beat Ross County in Dingwall.

Kyōgo Furuhashi made the breakthrough just after half time, only for the Staggies to equaliser from the corner on the hour mark.

Moments after that, the visitors required a fantastic save from Joe Hart to remain on level terms.

This would prove all the more fruitful when, on debut, Moritz Jenz headed home the go-ahead goal, with Liel Abada the rubber stamping the victory in stoppage time.

Kilmarnock meanwhile battled hard but were ultimately beaten 2-0 by Rangers at Ibrox last weekend.

A week earlier, the newly-promoted side had snatched a point at home to Dundee United; Ash Taylor lashing home in injury time.

This won’t be an easy afternoon for Celtic, but they should have too much quality at Rugby Park.
