Wesley Fofana has removed any mention of Leicester City from his social media pages as rumours of a move to Chelsea intensify.
The young French defender is valued at £80m by current side Leicester City, but has been subject to interest from the west London side as they begin to widen their net in the hunt for additions at the heart of defence.
Bit more intel on Fofana. Chelsea and Leicester close to £20m apart in initial valuation. #CFC are prepared to go up. Further talks this week. PSG have also enquired. They value Fofana at just under £55m all-in. Won’t be enough or even close.

Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers has continued to bat off interest, repeatedly stating that he is not for sale this summer despite speculation.
“No, he’s not for sale”, he told the media. When we looked at him he had played 17 games. Everyone had a look at him back then but he’s come here, really flourished and developed, not just as a player but as a young man.
“He really respects the club. I’ve got no doubt that in the future he’ll be on that highest stage but he’s very comfortable and he feels good here. He has a great relationship with his team-mates which is important and there’s no doubt he will grace that stage. But for now he’s here, he’s developing and like I said he’s not for sale.”
Fofana, however, may think otherwise.

Meanwhile, the Frenchman has also taken to Instagram to talk about doing what is best for him at this stage of his career.
Posting a quotation on his story, he said:
“My father told me you are going to annoy a lot of people when you do what is best for you, and I’ve begun to realise that”

It could all be pointing towards Chelsea finally getting their man and long-awaited reinforcement at centre-back.
