Match Preview

After a damning lose to city rivals AC Milan, Inter Milan will be back at the San Siro to welcome a high-flying Torino who currently sit sixth in the table and just ahead of the pre-season favourites to win Serie A.

Before a ball was kicked in Italy, all eyes were turning back to Inter and if they could win back their title and dethrone their city rivals as Romelu Lukaku looked to be the missing piece of the puzzle once more. Now, after also losing 3-1 to Lazio in Rome two weeks ago, Inter have gone on to lose 3-2 to Milan in a stunning game at the San Siro as Edin Dzeko and Marcello Brozovic scored.

Things got worse for Simone Inzaghi’s men in midweek too, as they were beaten by Bayern Munich with relative ease at the San Siro. Danilo D’Ambrosio scored an own goal in that loss after Serge Gnabry netted in the first half too. This is now three losses in the last four games for Inter.

Torino are looking great right now, however, with them winning three games so far and conceding just two goals – only Atalanta have let in fewer higher up the table than them. The Turin outfit also beat Lecce last time out as they kept another clean sheet where Nikola Vlasic scored his fourth goal of the season already.

Atalanta did beat them 3-1 last Thursday, but with victories over Monza and Cremonese already this season, they have some solid victories under their belt. This will, however, be just as big of a test as their trip to Bergamo, and Inter will be just as desperate for a win here.
