Both Arsenal and Manchester United have previously been linked with Lille’s Jonathan David.
David featured 40 times in all competitions during the 2022/23 season. He scored 24 and assisted four in 37 Ligue 1 matches. He has also netted two in three cup games for the French outfit.
Such a return would be a major boost for Arsenal, who would no doubt love a better goalscorer up top.
Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah are nowhere near as clinical as David in front of goal, leaving the majority of the goalscoring to be done by the likes of Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka.
But with David up front, Arsenal could become an even bigger force in England and maybe compete in the Champions League as well.
United are also in desperate need of a striker as Anthony Martial is their only option at present.
PSG and Napoli tracking David. If Osimhen is sold, latter would be very keen. And keep an eye on West Ham. Spurs intent on keeping Kane, but another club that have looked at David before. After CONCACAF Nations League Final, David will start to seriously explore his options.
