It is safe to say that Enzo Fernandez’s Chelsea career has not begun the way he or the Blues would have hoped.
Arriving on transfer deadline day from Benfica, his move set a new British transfer record, with the £105m Chelsea paid for the Argentine surpassing Manchester City’s mega move for Jack Grealish in the summer of 2021.
However, he is yet to win a game in five attempts with the Blues, with three defeats and two draws coming since his arrival in west London, though he did set up the only goal that the club have scored in a month of football, providing the cross for Joao Felix to tap home an opener against West Ham before Emerson Palmieri leveled the scoreline.
In his role as a defensive midfielder, however, he has been underwhelming, with the 21-year-old having only helped his side to one clean sheet since arriving from Portugal.
And now, a damning stat about his period with the Blues so far has come to light, with it emerging that no player in Europe is being dribbled past more often than Fernandez, with opponents finding a way past him a mammoth three times.

The latest stat comes amid increased pressure on Chelsea boss Graham Potter, who has overseen just two wins in all competitions since the Premier League resumed after the World Cup break, and has seen his side score just six times since then.
