Match preview

Juventus will be looking to keep up their winning form in their final game before the World Cup break as they meet with Lazio just above them in the Serie A table in a game that has rapidly become one of the biggest of the campaign so far.

Moise Kean was the difference for the Old Lady in the recent clash with Hellas Verona away from home, as the former Everton man netted in the second half in what was the game’s only goal. Alex Sandro was later sent off, and he now will not play until January through suspension.

This win has now moved Juventus up into fourth with Max Allegri turning the form around greatly at the Allianz Stadium. It’s now eight wins on the board for them, with four draws and two losses also, which does mean they still have a two-point gap on Lazio in second to deal with.

Maurizio Sarri’s men edged past both Roma and Monza in the past two games, and this will be their first league game since mid-October that is away from the Stadio Olimpico. Felipe Andersen got the winner against Roma last weekend, before Luka Romero’s effort collected all three points against Monza to move Lazio into second.

Sarri’s men have one extra win on their record right now, but quite incredibly, only Juventus can boast of a better defensive record than the Rome side with seven goals let in compared to Lazio’s eight conceded.
