11th and 13th in Serie A will clash this weekend with Monza looking for a quick return to the win column after two games without a victory just as Empoli head to the Brianteo Stadium without a victory in the past month.
It was a winless February for Monza and they have not tasted all three points since their excellent win over Inter Milan at the San Siro towards the end of January.
Ever since, they’ve drawn with Torino, Spezia and Fiorentina and lost to Roma and Napoli just like weekend to move them down into 13th in the table and three points adrift of the top 10.
As for Monza, they come into this game having lost 3-0 to Salernitana in what was arguably their worst result of the season. Worse yet, Giulio Donati was sent off that day and will now miss this game at home.
Raffaele Palladino’s side last got a win against Bologna back in mid-February, as they also lost to AC Milan two weeks ago and just before the defeat to Salernitana. Neverthless, they still sit 11th and one point clear of Empoli.
